ABOUT THE ARTIST
This review reflects my experiences in Dance Photography, Theatrical Photography and my founding and running of a Photography Workshop. .

The photography of dance and the nude were things that I believe I was destined to become involved with even before I had a camera. While in high school and hoping to become a Disney animator, I saw the sublime nude studies of Peter Gowland, which fixed my sensibility forever. I did not become an animator but years later I was inspired to try to do a movie special effect short involving dance. I bought my first still camera and set about to learn the basics of lighting the figure. I never stopped. Eventulaly I opened a photography workshop on Long Island and became a dance photographer for the JOYCE TRISLER DANCE COMPANY. As Joyce once remarked "Dady you're hooked!" and how right she was. Besides the magic of dance I was able to meet those wonderful people that I refer to ,under my logo, borrowing Miranda's lines from the Tempest. How fortunate I was.

With more time and resources at my disposal, I plan to contiue in the field of fine art photography, to achieve my vision to its fullest.
